FAQ
"Lithium battery" broadly refers to rechargeable batteries using lithium ions, including Li-ion, LiPo, and LiFePO₄ types.
LiFePO₄ batteries are a specific kind with lithium iron phosphate cathodes, known for:
High safety and thermal stability
Long cycle life
Steady power output
Strong chemical stability
Slightly lower energy density than other lithium types
Since the MOS components in the BMS are designed based on a 4-series cell configuration. If more than 4 cells are connected in series, there is a risk of the MOSFETs being damaged or burned out.
Therefore , we do not recommend connecting more than four batteries in series .
Yes. LiFePO4 is an intrinsically safe chemical and the most stable lithium-ion battery on the market. Power Queen lithium cells are certified by UL, FCC, CE, RoHS, and UN38.3 to ensure their quality and safety.
All Power Queen LiFePO4 batteries include an internal Battery Management System that protects against undervoltage during discharge, overvoltage during charge, overcurrent during discharge, overheating during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection, which protects battery cells from damage.
Yes, you can add a new battery to your current battery if it has been used. Please make sure both batteries are identical in terms of capacity (Ah), brand, and have the same Battery Management System (BMS). Ensure that both batteries meet these criteria to ensure safe and optimal performance.
To connect in series or /and parallel, batteries should meet the below conditions:
1.identical batteries with the same battery capacity (Ah) and BMS (A);
2.from the same brand (as lithium battery from different brands has their special BMS);
3.purchased in near time (within one months).
Testing a 12V lithium battery is simple with a multimeter. Set the multimeter to DC voltage, then connect the positive and negative probes to the corresponding terminals of the battery.
After a Power Queen battery is fully charged and has rested for 3 hours, measure its resting voltage. A 12V LiFePO4 battery should read ≥13.33V (add 0.5–0.7V if the battery has low-temperature protection). If the reading is significantly lower, the battery may be abnormal. Regular voltage checks are recommended to ensure battery health.
Battery voltage may vary by product. We kindly suggest referring to the product manual for accurate information.
12V lithium batteries offer better performance, longer lifespan, and faster charging compared to traditional 12V lead-acid batteries. They're also lighter and more efficient.
For more details, read the article: Lead Acid vs Lithium Ion Battery: What's the Difference?
If the 12V LifePO4 battery voltage drops below 9V, it is likely that the Battery Management System (BMS) has triggered protection, please try activating by ONE OF BELOW TWO METHODS.
Method 1: Use a charger with a lithium activation charging function to fully charge the battery.
Method 2: Connect a controller that supports 12V LiFePO4 battery charging to charge the battery for 3~10s in sunny daytime.
12V lithium batteries offer better performance, longer lifespan, and faster charging compared to traditional 12V lead-acid batteries. They're also lighter and more efficient.

Yes, 12V lithium ion batteries generally have a higher upfront cost but are more cost-effective in the long run due to their longer lifespan and lower maintenance needs.
We understand that there might be some confusion regarding the voltage specifications of the battery you received. The 12V battery in the decription is a nominal voltage often used to describe the battery, which is common in the industry. It can help battery users better accept and locate the 12.8V LiFePO4 battery.
Please allow me to expalin below :
Our 12V (12.8V) Li-FePO4 battery consists of four 3.2V Li-FePO4 cells with a nominal voltage of 12.8V instead of 12V.
The real voltage of the battery should be tested. If you need to determine the SOC of the battery, please use the resting voltage 3 hrs for a reference.
Yes, a 12V lithium battery is ideal for RVs, providing reliable power for lights, appliances, and other electrical systems. Power Queen's 14V lithium ion batteries are designed to handle the demands of RV power needs efficiently.
