Launched in 2015, the Lake of the Woods Women’s Walleye Tournament has grown from just 6 teams to over 90, becoming one of the most recognized women’s fishing events in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and Minnesota. Held every June, the event celebrates female anglers and promotes sportsmanship, conservation, and community spirit. The tournament uses a catch-photo-release format to support ecological balance and sustainable fishing practices.
